Nightforce Scopes - Idaho Now a Force to be Reckoned With
Idaho has a new claim to fame, Nightforce Scopes. Started in the early 1990’s Nightforce is a company that focuses on building high end rifle scopes. Their product line is made up of rifle scopes, rings, mounts, and bases (and of course the promotional hats and t-shirts). While the Nightforce website does not claim these scopes are made in the US, their website does state “Every single scope we sell is thoroughly inspected and tested by hand at our Idaho headquarters”; and under the NXS models scope section is the following “Every Nightforce scope is assembled at our factory in North Central Idaho”. Many shooters report that their scopes say "Made in Japan", and it appears certain that at least some components are made in Japan. Regardless of where they are made, or where the parts are made and where they are assembled one thing is for sure these scopes have gained a lot of respect in the long range and tactical shooting industry. The Nightforce lineup consists of only two series of scope which are the NXS series and the Benchrest series.
