Tasco Rifle Scopes World Class Affordablility

Tasco has long been known for its budget hunting optics, including rifle scopes, binoculars, spotting scopes, and now even trail cameras. Tasco rifle scopes cover a wide range of shooting and hunting applications from plinking to long range target and varmint shooting. While many hunters might prefer to have a more expensive scope from a manufacturer like Leupold or Zeiss, they often to opt to buy a Tasco because they would not have money left to buy a rifle to put the scope on if they purchased one of these higher end rifle scopes. Tasco scopes are generally pretty basic without many extras. They don’t offer models with a 30mm main tube or side focus parallax adjustment. Also, there are usually limited reticle and finish options on most models. However, this helps them keep the cost of their optics down, and that is the main concern of those on a tight budget. Below is a comparison chart of rifle scopes made by Tasco, which is followed by a brief overview of each individual line.

Tasco Target & Varmint – A long range rifle scope, this series comes in three different magnification ranges: 2.5-10x, 6-24x, and 10-40x. The 6-24x version comes in one of three objective sizes, a 40mm, 42mm, or 44mm. There are a couple configurations of this model that are equipped with an illuminated mil dot reticle. As might be expected these are larger scopes than an average big game rifle scope with the smallest model being 14 inches long and weighing over 19 ounces. Some of the higher power models in the series make wind and elevation corrections in 1/8moa, and have adjustable objectives for parallax correction.
